Visit to DIFFUSION FESTIVAL Cardiff 2nd May
Some excellleny work at this new Festival.
Edgar Martins at FFotoGallery is stunning. (Image above)
There are also many excellent photographers from the last 30 years on display.
My personal favorites - John Davies and David Hurn.
The Festival is on till end of May and certainly worth a visit.
We ended up at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay for final exhibition and coffee.
Just about perfect.

Visit to Format Festival in Derby - 13th March
(images from Festival website)
This year’s Festival is stronger than 2 years ago - well worth a visit.
Highlights were Brian Griffin, Quad and Chocolate Factory exhibitions.
Within 3 hours in Derby we saw a huge amount of work so worth the coach journey.
The Festival is still on - check it out

Rome Trip - 4th to 7th March
Rome is an astonishing city and this was a great trip. In 3 days we still didn’t manage to see all we wanted. Must go again!
Just a few snaps to give a flavour of our time there.
Peter Finnemore Lecture
Peter’s lecture has been recorded and will be on Student net before long.
Having seen some of his work over the years it was great to finally meet Peter and his short Video pieces were quite brilliant. Peter represented Wales during the 2005 51st International Art Festival in Venice.
In terms of inspiration it was the range of media which he used to explore his roots and past which stood out.

Brighton Photo Biennial HCA Course trip November 12
Just some snaps from our recent trip to Brighton. Lots of Photography of course but always so much to do and see anyhow. We stayed at a hostel by the seafront which was a nice bonus.
One of the best things on display were the many self-published books at the Library. See pic of Lorentz Gullachsen browsing.
Photography Exhibition at Apple Store Gallery, Hereford
Featuring the work of recent graduates Rob Burton and Jacob Burge as well as final year student Maurice Piper’s work on Kilpeck, starring the Devil himself !
